Theresa Matos is currently a doctoral student in health education at Columbia University, Teachers College. She first became interested in human sexuality and sexual health at New York University where she conducted an independent study on the sexual lives of Latina women, and earned her degree in applied psychology. She is extremely interested in exploring the sociocultural implications of sexuality and sexual health equity, and she is dedicated to positively informing the public and educating others on all topics of sex and sexual health. When she is not studying, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling abroad, writing, swimming and goofing around with her toy poodle.
